Some options for watching Arabic channels in the United States, Canada, and Australia are suitable for cord-cutters, whose goal it is to get rid of cable and satellite TV and save as much money as possible. Other options are ideal for those who prefer a more traditional satellite TV experience. Regardless of which two groups you belong to, you’ll be able to satisfy your craving for Arabic TV with the help of this article.

Here’s a quick overview of the various options for watching Arabic channels in the USA, Canada, and Australia:

Solution: Best For: Hardware Required?
Direct Channel Streaming Casual viewers No
VPN Services Tech-savvy users wanting access to geo-restricted content No
MySat Australian viewers, especially in remote areas Yes (Dish & Receiver)
ArabCast Viewers wanting flexible, affordable streaming No
JadooTV Those interested in South Asian and Arabic content Optional (Set-Top Box)
Reelplay Arabic IPTV Box Users wanting an easy-to-use, dedicated solution Yes (IPTV Box)
DISH Arabic TV Users preferring traditional satellite TV Yes (Dish & Receiver)
Sling TV Arabic Cord-cutters using multiple devices No
FilmOn Budget-conscious viewers No

Use A VPN To Watch Geo-Restricted Arabic Channels

Many Arabic websites that offer content over the internet are geo-restricted outside the Arab world for legal reasons. This means that if you’re living in the USA, Canada, or Australia, you might encounter frustrating “this content is not available in your region” messages.

Fortunately, such geo-restrictions are easy to circumvent using a Virtual Private Network (VPN). A VPN allows you to connect to servers in different countries, making it appear as if you’re browsing from that location. By connecting to a server in an Arab country, you can unlock access to geo-restricted Arabic content.

My favorite VPN services that works great when it comes to unlocking geo-restricted Arabic channels are:

  • NordVPN: Known for its extensive server network (including servers in the UAE) and top-notch security features. NordVPN offers excellent performance and user-friendly apps for various devices.
  • ExpressVPN: Renowned for its fast speeds and ability to unblock a wide range of streaming services. ExpressVPN has servers in almost 100 countries, so it should easily unlock any Arabic content.
  • CyberGhost: User-friendly with specialized streaming servers. CyberGhost operates servers in Egypt, Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other countries to provide ample options for accessing Arabic channels.

Recommended For: Tech-savvy users who want to access a wider range of Arabic content, including geo-restricted channels and streaming platforms.

The starter kit costs just under $70, and it includes the physical satellite TV box and 3 months of TV subscription. After the first 3 months, TV subscription auto-renews at the regular subscription price, which is around $35.

For those living in more remote parts of Australia where high-speed internet might be inconsistent or unavailable, MySat can be an excellent solution. With the satellite service, you can enjoy your favorite Arabic channels without worrying about internet connectivity issues or buffering problems that often plague streaming services in rural areas.

Recommended For: Individuals seeking a satellite TV solution with a good variety of Arabic channels, especially those in remote locations.

ArabCast

With an impressive lineup of over 400 live Arabic channels, ArabCast offers a comprehensive selection of programming, including news, entertainment, sports, and more. One of ArabCast’s key attractions is its user-friendly approach. There’s no long-term commitment required, giving you the freedom to adjust your viewing options as needed.

In addition to impressive content selection, ArabCast provides 24-hour support to assist you with any issues you might encounter, and there are over 15,000 happy customers who are ready to vouch for the service.

The Reelplay Arabic IPTV box is a compact device, measuring just 9cm x 9cm and 1.8cm, that provides access to a vast array of Arabic channels covering news, sports, entertainment, and more.

The box comes with impressive specifications, including a quad-core Cortex A53 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5.0GHz) and includes an Ethernet port for stable internet connectivity.

One of its standout features is the unique 7-day reeltime rewind function, which allows viewers to catch up on missed shows at their convenience. If you find the Reelplay Arabic IPTV box to be an attractive solution, then I recommend their special starter pack, which includes the box and 3 months of free Arabic service for new customers.

DISH Arabic TV

DISH TV is one of the most popular providers of satellite TV in the United States, and the company has several packages with Arabic TV channels, including Arabic Elite Pack, Arabic Music Pack, Arabic IQRAA Pack, Arabic Noursat Pack, and Arabic Aghapy TV Pack. This is what’s included in each package.

We recommend Arabic Elite Pack because it includes a wide variety of TV channels, covering dramas, music, news, political updates, religious programming, and more. Arabic Elite Pack costs $34.99 a month with a two-year commitment. DISH TV users can customize their Arabic TV package with extra channels, including Willow Cricket HD, NDTV 24*7, France 24, and others.

New subscribers to DISH TV get professional installation for free, and it doesn’t matter how many TVs you want to connect to your satellite.

Recommended For: Those who are used to the satellite TV experience and are willing to pay a premium price for it.

The post How To Find The Best Remote Work Opportunities In The Middle East appeared first on Tech Magazine.

]]>
The Middle Eastern job market looked a lot different before the pandemic disrupted established work routines in 2020. Back then, remote work was associated largely with low-paying jobs and independent freelancers juggling multiple contracts.

Now, there are ample remote work opportunities available to job seekers across the Middle East. Because they offer many attractive benefits, the demand for them is so high that it can be difficult to find the best remote jobs while they’re still available. This article is here to give you the edge you need to get the remote job of your dreams.

Benefits Of Working Remotely In The Middle East

Before we tell you where you can find the best remote work opportunities in the Middle East, we think it’s only appropriate to go over some of the biggest benefits of saying goodbye to the office life.

Improved Work-Life Balance

Improved work-life balance was among the top reasons why up to 81% of MENA professionals were seeking remote jobs in 2021. Without a lengthy and potentially stressful commute, remote workers can get straight to work and accomplish more than their office-bound colleagues. The time they save can be dedicated to anything from dropping kids off at school to jogging around the block to completing a chapter of an online course.

More Work Opportunities

The best work opportunities are naturally concentrated in the largest and wealthiest metropolitan areas in the Middle East, such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Tehran, Istanbul, Baghdad, Riyadh, Ankara, Jeddah, Amman, and Tel Aviv. For those who live far away from the hustle and bustle of city life, remote work is a great way to find a well-paying job without leaving behind the quiet and serenity of country life.

Higher Income & Lower Expenses

Better work opportunities and higher income go hand in hand. But remote work can also significantly lower your expenses. Just consider how much money you spend on transportation, work clothes, and eating out. Sure, remote workers also have their fair share of work-related expenses, such as IT equipment, but increasingly many employers are willing to cover them.

Less Office Politics

Remote workers are deprived of fun water cooler moments (unless they decide to buy a water cooler and meet at it with their family or roommates), but they’re largely spared of office politics and gossip. If you’re someone who despises this aspect of office work, then this benefit alone may be enough for you to fall in love with remote work.

Location Independence

Remote workers can work for companies from across the entire Middle East region, and they can do so from anywhere they want. Is there a cozy coffee shop close to where you live? Then why not make it your office for a morning or two every week? Or perhaps you would like to go on a long trip and wake up somewhere else every week for a year? Remote work can make it possible even if you don’t have enough money saved to live without a job.

Top Places To Find Remote Work Jobs In The Middle East

There are several thriving job boards in the Middle East where you can find life-changing remote work jobs. We recommend you cast a wide net and focus on multiple job boards at the same time. To make your life easier, you can subscribe to receive new remote work jobs straight to your inbox as soon as they become available.

Bayt

bayt homepage

Number of remote jobs at the time of writing: 903

Bayt is a great place to start your job search when looking for a remote job in the Middle East. The site was founded in 2000 by Rabea Ataya, and it now serves over 27 million professionals from its 12 regional offices.

At the time of writing this article, Bayt lists almost 5,000 jobs in Dubai, around 3,500 jobs in Cairo, and 2,000 jobs in Abu Dhabi — that’s just to give you an idea of how many Middle East job opportunities the site has to offer. To see only those that can be done remotely, all you need to do is click the “Work from Home Jobs” toggle.

In addition to helping you find great remote jobs by location, sector, or company, Bayt can also assist you with the creation of your resume. You can either create an online CV or take advantage of Bayt’s CV services to kickstart your career with a truly professional resume.

NaukriGulf

naukrigulf homepage

Number of remote jobs at the time of writing: 775

With over 45,000 active job offers, NaukriGulf is one of the largest job search sites in the MENA region. The companies that advertise job vacancies on the site include Salam Technology, Wipro, ICICI Bank Limited, Outrider, Al Barakah Holding, and others.

Unfortunately, there’s no filter for remote jobs, but you can use the search feature to display only jobs that mention the word “remote” in the job title. You can then refine your search by industry, required experience, monthly salary, and other criteria.

GulfTalent

gulftalent homepage

Number of remote jobs at the time of writing: 40

GulfTalent is an online recruitment platform where you can register if you want the remote job of your dreams to come to you. The company claims that 60,000 professionals get contacted by employers every month through its platform. Some of the top employers currently hiring on GulfTalent are Deloitte, Coca-Cola, Parsons, and Emirates.

Besides waiting for recruiters to contact you, you can also take the initiative and see what jobs have been posted on the platform by city, country, or category. There’s a handy filter option for remote jobs, and we were able to find 40 of them. That’s fewer than we expected, but at least most of them were posted fairly recently.

Tanqeeb

tanqeeb homepage

Number of remote jobs at the time of writing: 19

Tanqeeb is the biggest job search engine in the MENA region. You can use it to instantly see what remote jobs are available in different industries. Just like our second favorite place to find remote jobs in the Middle East, Naukrigulf, this site also doesn’t let you hide jobs that can’t be done remotely, so you have to rely on keyword-based searches.

To get the most accurate results, we recommend you click the settings icon in the search bar and choose to search in job titles only. Using this method, we found 19 job offers, the oldest of which was published at the end of August 2022, less than three months before we started working on this article.

LinkedIn

linkedin jobs homepage

Number of remote jobs at the time of writing: 6,372

When it comes to the number of available remote jobs, LinkedIn wins the race. By selecting “Middle East” as our location and applying the remote filter, we were able to find over 6,000 jobs. Best of all, LinkedIn was able to automatically suggest the most relevant jobs based on our profile information.

But quantity and quality are not the same thing, and that’s where things get ugly. The problem with LinkedIn job offers is that many of them are fake, created by recruiters who want to collect resumes just to expand their talent databases. Still, you should definitely give LinkedIn a try, especially considering that you most likely already have an account there.

Indeed

indeed homepage

Number of remote jobs at the time of writing: 200,000+

Indeed is the highest-traffic job website in the United States, and its availability extends to over 60 other countries. The website was founded in 2004, and it now employs more than 12,000 employees — that’s more people than the number of jobs available on many smaller job websites.

Because Indeed lists over 200,000 remote jobs from companies around the world, it’s best to specify the desired location of the employer before applying the remote job filter to narrow down the number of search results. This way, we were able to find over 200 remote jobs in Dubai.

Glassdoor

glassdoor homepage

Number of remote jobs at the time of writing: 160,000+

Glassdoor is first and foremost an employer review site where former employees leave anonymous company reviews. You should consult it before applying for a job at a company you’re not familiar with to see how happy those who have worked there before were with their jobs.

Besides its growing database of company reviews, Glassdoor also runs a job board with over 160,000 jobs offers that include the keyword “remote.” Just like with Indeed, it’s best to narrow them down by employer location otherwise you’ll spend a lot of time sifting through offers from the other side of the world.

In-Demand Remote Jobs To Consider In The Middle East

It’s only natural that some jobs are better suited to remote work than others. After all, we still don’t have the technology that would allow construction workers to lay bricks from the comfort of their living rooms and most theater attendees wouldn’t be happy to see a bunch of holograms instead of real actors.

But even as far as white-collar office jobs go, some are much easier to do remotely, and such jobs tend to be in the highest demand as far as the number of available job opportunities goes. Here are some of them:

Information Technology

The demand for software developers, information security professionals, data science experts, and other IT employees is relentless, and it’s still growing. Because IT employees are already deeply familiar with the technologies that make remote work possible, they seldom struggle with the transition from in-office jobs to remote jobs.

Sales

Long gone are the days when large sales deals used to always end with a firm handshake. These days, it’s perfectly normal for sales representatives to communicate with existing and potential customers only via phone or email. The nature of remote sales jobs makes them suitable for people who do well under pressure and are already striving to break their own records.

Customer Service

Customer service is the backbone of every successful business, and there’s no shortage of customer service jobs across virtually all industries. Such jobs are great for people with no experience as the first rungs on their career ladders. They make it possible to gain useful industry experience and learn about the most frequently encountered issues from the point of view of those who encounter them.

Digital Marketing

The global digital marketing market is forecast to reach a value of around $807 billion by 2026, up from $305 billion in 2020. Given this huge growth projection, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the demand for digital marketing professionals, including remote copywriters, SEO specialists, and content strategists, is similarly enormous.

Graphic Design

Graphic designers have it great because their modern tools of trade (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and other graphic design software) are already digital and can run on any sufficiently capable computer. The logos, posters, website layouts, animations, and other visual content they produce with them can be effortlessly sent as email attachments and instant messages, so working remotely couldn’t be easier for them.

Essential Skills For Remote Job Seekers

Regardless of which remote work career path you decide to pursue, there are some essential skills you need to have to succeed:

  • Organizing and planning: Remote workers typically enjoy a great deal of freedom to plan their daily agenda in a way that allows maximally efficient use of time. To do so successfully, they need strong organizing and planning skills.
  • Written communication skills: Email, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and other text-focused communication channels dominate the world of remote work, so it’s important to have good written communication skills. This includes the ability to switch from formal language when writing an email to a superior to informal language when planning an after-work event with colleagues.
  • Teamwork and collaboration: Contrary to what some people believe, remote workers are not lone wolfs, isolated from their colleagues and reliant on friends and family members for social interaction. In reality, teamwork and collaboration are part of the remote way of working, and those who have mastered these necessary skills have a huge advantage over those who don’t.
  • Self-motivation and focus: Without a manager breathing down your neck and watching your every move from across the room, you need to find an internal source of motivation and develop the ability to focus even when distractions are in ample supply.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving: Remote workers depend on digital technology, which is evolving at a rapid pace. They need to get quickly used to the tools provided to them and independently solve minor software and hardware issues to remain available and ready to work at all times.

If you feel that you already have these skills, then there’s really nothing stopping you from pursuing any remote job opportunity you want.

Summary

The number of remote work jobs in the Middle East has grown significantly in the last two years alone, and most experts predict it to keep growing even in the future because the benefits remote work offers to employees and employers alike are too good to ignore. If you’re interested in them, then the job sites listed in this article can help you find the ideal remote job in no time. Good luck!

Although influencers, celebrities, and businesses use their Twitter profiles to promote products, services, or even themselves, the popular social media platform is still built around a base of everyday users sharing the news and opinions they care about most.

If you’ve built a Twitter account with a follower list of close friends and family, you may be happy simply interacting with people you know, and uncomfortable with the idea of strangers being able to see your Tweets. In that case, you’re in luck, because it’s relatively simple to make your Twitter account completely private so that only your list of followers will be able to see what you’ve posted and who you’ve interacted with.

In addition to making your account private to non-followers, you’ll gain an extra layer of security, as you’ll also be able to manually approve which followers can see your posts. Here’s how to change the settings to make your Twitter account private:

Desktop

  • Go to the Twitter website.
  • In the left tab, click More, then Settings and Privacy in the pop-up menu.
  • Click the Privacy and Safety tab, followed by Audience and Tagging.
  • Check the box next to Protect your Tweets.
  • Click Protect to confirm your selection.

In the Privacy and Safety tab, you can find additional settings such as Discoverability, as well as manage who can send you direct messages, and more.

Mobile

  • Open the Twitter app.
  • Tap the Settings menu in the top-right corner (gearwheel icon).
  • Tap the back arrow to see the full settings menu.
  • Tap Privacy and Safety and next, Audience and Tagging.
  • Tap the slider to the right of Protect your Tweets, which will turn green.
  • Finally, tap Done.

It’s worth pointing out that you may have to toggle a different tab in order to view the settings icon in the top right of the screen.

  • Tap the green tick or red cross for each request.

So there you have it, your Twitter profile is now private and only the followers that you choose can see your posting activity.

However, the way you capture the screen in MacOS has remained the same.

The post How To Screenshot On A Mac: 3 Different Methods appeared first on Tech Magazine.

]]>
If you own any kind of modern Mac laptop or desktop running macOS, there are 3 basic ways to take shots of your screen, as well as a very powerful built-in video capture feature that lets you record the screen — even allowing you to add narration to your presentations. So, how exactly do you take a screenshot on a Mac? Here’s how to get started:

Method 1: Whole Screen Capture

This method is the basic fullscreen capture, and takes a shot of the entire desktop.

How To Do It: Press Cmd-Shift-3 at the same time.

Method 2: Partial Screen Capture

This screen capture method will take a snapshot of a specified portion of your screen, rather than the whole thing.

How To Do It: Press Cmd-Shift-4 at the same time to turn the mouse into a crosshair, then drag it over the portion of the screen you want to capture.

Extra Functions:

  • Hold down the space bar before releasing the mouse button or trackpad to lock the whole shape of your selected area and move it around the screen.
  • To lock a single side of the selected area, press and hold shift while dragging your box across either axis.

Method 3: Window Capture

This screen capture method will take a shot of an open window but not the desktop or other open windows behind or around it.

How To Do It: Press Cmd-Shift-4 simultaneously to turn the mouse into a crosshair, as in the previous method, but this time press spacebar one. The crosshair will turn into a camera icon, and you’ll be able to hover it over a window of your choice and then click to take a screenshot.

Bonus: Video Capture

This method requires macOS Mojave, which shouldn’t be an issue as it was released in 2018. Once selected, you’ll be presented with a menu of video capture options, allowing you to make all kinds of presentations while capturing your voice if required.

How To Do It: Pressing Cmd-Shift-5 will bring up the capture screen options panel. You’ll find the same options here that we’ve already listed above, as well as some additional video capture methods.

Extra Functions:

  • Use the mouse or trackpad to reposition the window to the size you require and the portion of the desktop you’d like to capture.
  • Capture the whole desktop.

Also Read: How To Clean Your Apple Watch Like A Pro

Once you’ve chosen a capture method, you can right-click on the options button to select a 5 or 10-second delay before your recording is triggered, as well as other options, including the audio input and file type and save location. Finally, to the far right, you’ll see the record button. The easiest way to stop a screen recording is to simply hit escape, at which point your finished video will appear, ready to be viewed, edited or saved.

Which method did you find most useful for taking a screenshot on a Mac? Let us know in the comments below.

Because many iOS users have experienced the same problem, Apple is finally adding the ability to mark an iMessage as unread after it’s been opened. The new feature will be included in Apple’s iOS 16, which is expected to be released later this year.

To learn how the new feature will work, we tested a beta version of iOS 16. Here’s what we’ve found out:

Step 1: Open the iMessage app on your iPhone.

How To Enable WhatsApp Disappearing Messages For All Chats https://techmgzn.com/how-to-enable-whatsapp-disappearing-messages-for-all-chats/ https://techmgzn.com/how-to-enable-whatsapp-disappearing-messages-for-all-chats/#respond Thu, 09 Dec 2021 17:13:55 +0000 https://techmgzn.com/?p=1356 Keep in mind that this setting won’t affect previously sent messages — only new ones.

The post How To Enable WhatsApp Disappearing Messages For All Chats appeared first on Tech Magazine.

]]>
Since last November, WhatsApp users have been enjoying the option to set chat messages to automatically be deleted after 7 days. Now, WhatsApp is expanding the functionality by allowing users to enable disappearing messages for all chats by default and making it possible to customize the amount of time that has to pass for messages to disappear.

How To Enable Disappearing Messages

  1. Open the WhatsApp app on your Android or iOS device.
  2. Go to WhatsApp settings.
  3. Tap Account and then Privacy.
  4. Tap Default message timer.
  5. Select a duration.

You can choose between 24 hours, 7 days, and 90 days. Keep in mind that this setting won’t affect previously sent messages — only new ones.

As useful as the disappearing messages feature is when it comes to helping WhatsApp users protect their privacy, it does have a few limitations.

To start with, automatically deleted messages might still be displayed in the recipient’s notifications. They might also be quoted in replies, forwarded to other people, and even included in backups.

Of course, recipients can also take screenshots of disappearing messages before they become automatically deleted, copy & paste their content somewhere else, or even take pictures of them using another device.

For these reasons, the disappearing messages feature should never be used by WhatsApp users to protect their privacy when chatting with untrusted individuals. Instead, it should be used only with trusted friends, colleagues, and familiar members as a way to minimize the risk of third-party data breaches, which often happen when a device that’s not properly protected gets lost or stolen.

To learn more about the disappearing messages feature (as well as any other WhatsApp feature), we recommend you visit WhatsApp’s help page, which covers everything we’ve explained here and a whole lot more.

How To Change Your Etisalat Wi-Fi Password https://techmgzn.com/how-to-change-your-etisalat-wi-fi-password/ https://techmgzn.com/how-to-change-your-etisalat-wi-fi-password/#respond Sat, 23 Oct 2021 16:08:05 +0000 https://techmgzn.com/?p=1242 If you’re new to the United Arab Emirates, or recently subscribed to Etisalat's home Internet service, this step-by-step guide will show you how to change your Etisalat Wi-Fi password.

The post How To Change Your Etisalat Wi-Fi Password appeared first on Tech Magazine.

]]>
Etisalat-branded Wi-Fi routers can be found in homes and commercial buildings across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other countries in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

If you rely on an Etisalat router for wirelessly connecting to the internet, then it’s a good idea to change the default Wi-Fi password. You should also change it if you suspect that someone you don’t trust might have it or as a way how to quickly and easily disconnect all connected devices.

Regardless of what your reasons for wanting to change your Etisalat Wi-Fi password are, all you need to do is follow the steps below.

Prerequisites

To successfully change your Etisalat Wi-Fi password, you need to meet the following prerequisites:

  • The computer you’ll use to change the password must be connected to your Etisalat router using an Ethernet cable.
  • You need to know the router’s IP address and the admin username and password. This information should be printed on a sticker located somewhere on the router itself.

Steps For Changing Your Etisalat Wi-Fi Password

  1. Open a web browser on the computer that’s connected to your Etisalat router using an Ethernet cable.
  2. Type the following IP address in the URL bar and hit “Enter” on your keyboard: 192.168.1.1
  3. Log in with the admin username and password (the default admin/admin combination usually works).
  4. Click the “Advanced” button to see all available settings.
  5. Select the “Wireless” category from the left pane.
  6. Go to “wlan2” (2.4GHz) and then “Security”.
  7. Use the “Pre-Shared Key” (PSK) field to change your Wi-Fi password.
  8. Click “Apply Changes” to restart your wireless network and force all connected devices to reconnect using the new password.

Make sure the new password is at least 8 characters long and sufficiently complex. Ideally, you want it to include lowercase and uppercase characters, numbers, and special symbols. If you find random passwords difficult to remember, then you can also use a very long passphrase consisting of multiple randomly selected words, or a password manager to help you remember it in the future.

Should anything go wrong as a result of the password change, you can restart your Etisalat router to its factory settings by pressing and holding the physical reset button for 10-15 seconds (until the router’s LED indicator lights start flashing).

Alternatively, you can get in touch with Etisalat directly via phone and have their customer support agents help guide you through the process of changing your password.

This quick guide will show you how to do so.

Thanks to the Emirates ID it’s easy to get access to UAE government services, vote in the elections of Federal National Council, or register an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine. But what if your Emirates ID is associated with a mobile number you no longer use? In that case, just follow these 3 simple steps in order to change the mobile number on your Emirates ID.

Step 1: Go To The ICA Smart Services Page

To get started, you need to follow this link to visit the ICA Smart Services page.

The page allows UAE citizens and residents to amend their mobile phone number registered in the systems of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship.

Step 2: Enter Required Information

Once you’re there, you will be asked to provide certain required identification information, including your current nationality, file number (mentioned on your VISA), passport number, name, date of birth, last entry date (the date stamped on your passport), and email address.

When you fill in all the fields, another form will appear, asking you to type in your mobile phone number and giving you the opportunity to enter a new one.

Step 3: Review Your Application & Pay The Fee

Before you submit your application, you’ll be given an opportunity to double check it, and we highly recommend you carefully review all information to avoid issues and slowdowns during processing.

Finally, you need to pay the fee for changing the mobile number linked to your Emirates ID. At the time of writing this article, the fee is AED 52.10 ($15 USD). An invoice with payment instructions will arrive to the email address you’ve entered in Step 1.

Assuming you’ve made no mistakes, your phone number should be updated in a week or so. To see if an update has been made, go to the ID Card Status page and enter your PRAN (application number) or IDN number.
