The SU7 Ultra takes the design of Xiaomi’s standard SU7 to new levels with a focus on aerodynamics and sportier aesthetics. Key design elements include redesigned bumpers, a larger rear spoiler spanning 1.56 meters, and a widened body structure compared to its standard counterpart. Xiaomi claims these additions, along with an active rear diffuser, generate a downforce of up to 265 kg.

Inside, the SU7 Ultra combines luxurious materials with performance-inspired styling. Alcantara, a hallmark of high-end automotive interiors, envelopes the seats, steering wheel, door panels, and other interior surfaces. Meanwhile, carbon fiber accents add to the sporty feel, and include the doorstep panels, center console, and rearview mirror.

The SU7 Ultra is powered by CATL’s Qilin 2.0 battery, with a capacity of 93.7 kWh. This high-performance power pack supports a remarkable 5.2C DC fast-charging rate, enabling a 10-80% charge in just 11 minutes. With a maximum discharge power of 1,330 kW, the battery powers three electric motors, producing a combined 1,138 kW (or 1,526 hp) and peak torque of 1,770 Nm. With so much power on tap, the SU7 Ultra can reach 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds, 200 km/h in 5.86 seconds, and achieve a top speed of 350 km/h.

The SU7 Ultra’s dragstrip times are no less impressive: The Chinese EV can complete the quarter-mile dash in a hypercar-rivaling 9.23 seconds, aided by an Asil-D torque vectoring system for enhanced handling. The vehicle also features Xiaomi’s largest carbon ceramic brake discs to date, with front discs at 430 mm and rears measuring a slightly smaller 410 mm, ensuring awesome stopping power.

The official store opening happened on April 26th at a lively event attended by technology enthusiasts and Xiaomi fans. The event was overseen by the General Manager of Xiaomi Middle East and Levant, Ronnie Wang and other regional managers.

Xiaomi’s Dubai Mall store demonstrates the Chinese tech giant’s commitment to expanding its presence across the Middle East. The huge 6,600-square-foot retail unit is one of the company’s largest worldwide and will be used to showcase the latest innovative products.

Since the first Xiaomi store opening in 2017, Xiaomi has been bringing the concept of smart homes into daily lives. After an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees could engage in several interactive activities and meet top influencers, including Ajman Khan and Roman Khanand. Meanwhile, Xiaomi’s quadruped robot CyberDog appeared on stage to add to the excitement.

Among the products displayed at the new store are smartphones, including the Redmi Note 12, 4 Ultra and more, plus laptops, smart devices, home appliances and even Xiaomi’s Electric Scooter.

In celebration of the store opening, Xiaomi is offering a 50% discount on all products for the first 350 customers and a 30% discount to the next 400.

Samsung Galaxy S22/S22+/S22 Ultra

Since the end of February, buyers in the Middle East have been able to pre-order Samsung’s latest generation of its flagship devices. While not a whole lot has changed over the S21, the end products still represent the very best that Samsung and the Android ecosystem have to offer. The three models differ not only in size but also in terms of features, with the S22 Ultra being the only model that comes with the S Pen.

The Galaxy S22 will be available starting March 20 at $890 USD for the standard model, $1,050 USD for the S22 model, and $1,300 USD for the beefed up Ultra model.

Nokia G11 & G21

Even though the Nokia G11 costs almost ten times less than the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra ($136 USD versus $1,300 USD for the top model), they both have a similar 5,000 mAh battery, enabling them to run for approximately three days on a single charge. The G21 also has a large battery, but it costs $174 because of its slightly better specifications.

The G11 will be available in the Middle East at the end of March, while the G21 has just recently been made available.

Huawei P50 Pro & P50 Pocket

The Huawei P50 Pro and P50 Pocket are the latest and greatest Android smartphones from the Chinese smartphone maker, and they’re both available for pre-order in the Middle East at the time of writing this article. Just like all other Huawei Android smartphones, they don’t come with Google apps pre-installed, but there are many online tutorials that explain how to install them manually.

You can expect to pay $1,100 USD for the P50 Pro, and $1,400 USD for the P50 Pocket.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11/11S/11 Pro/11 Pro 5G

The entire Redmi Note 11 series of Xiaomi smartphones will be available in the Middle East by the early April, offering many attractive mid-range models with above-average specifications. The two top models even have a super-fast 120 Hz screen refresh rate, a feature that is highly sought-after by mobile gamers.

The Note 11 and Note 11S have a refresh rate of 90 Hz, which is decent but not super-impressive these days. The Redmi Note 11 base model will start at $200 USD.
